Covington Quest at RoeblingFest

SAVE THE DATE! 4TH ANNUAL COVINGTON QUEST IS ON JUNE 25th
The big event is back! On June 25, 2011, the Center for Great Neighborhoods is holding the fourth annual Covington Quest. Covington Quest begins with a shot gun start at 4pm, sending teams of four on an exciting 4 mile journey through the beautiful city of Covington. Part scavenger hunt, part foot race, this event is fun for both participants and spectators.
The Quest teams race around Covington, solving clues that send them to the next secret check point where they are asked to complete a physical or mental challenge (think “Minute to Win It”).The team that solves all of the clues and completes the series of challenges, including a dramatic final challenge at the finish line first, will be deemed the champions, given massive cash prizes, and enjoy bragging rights for the after-party and the entire next year. This year’s race will include two age divisions: Young and Not-So-Young. Once teams have finished the test of Quest, they and their avid fans will be treated to the biggest and best after party yet, full of new festivities.
This year the party will be held at the finish line the incredibly fun locale of the - Roebling Fest! “ We are thrilled to team up with Roebling Fest for the After Party , our after parties are great fun add more people , music and fireworks and Quest’s Roebling Fest party will be the place to be!” JaneAnderson, Quest event organizer. Included in the After party, food and drinks for the participants (spectators must buy an after-party ticket), recaps of the race highlights, the dolling out of countless prizes and awards, goodie bags and a silent auction and door prizes.
The first place teams in each age divisions will win $1,600, while the two second place teams from each division will win $400. New this year, there will be a $200 prize for the team with the Best Team Costume. There are other great prizes for Best Team Name, so bring your creativity along with your running shoes. Please remember that you do not have to participate in the day’s activities to enjoy the after-party, so spread the word, come and catch the end of the race, and stay for the fun- it will be the place to party in Covington. The registration fee for a team of four is $200. New this year: teams will receive a $40 refund for each team comprised of four members completely new to Quest. So, if you refer 5 teams your team will run for free!
All proceeds from Quest benefit the Center for Great Neighborhoods, a non-profit in Covington. For over 30 years, the Center has been dedicated to helping people improve their lives by improving the quality of urban neighborhoods. We believe strong neighborhoods provide stability, social supports and a web of vital resources that allow families and individuals to thrive, and equip residents with the tools and resources they need to create safe and livable neighborhoods.
