RoeblingFest and the CCSCB Continue Partnership

Friends of the Bridge,
RoeblingFest WAS great! Let's keep the momentum going as the Bridge receives additional recognition and as its Fame is growing. The Civil War Bicentennial is a perfect time to learn about the impact of this bridge then and for its amazing 150 year history. Follow the CCSBC website for updates on the specific milestones during the construction phase of this National Historic Landmark. Recall that the Roebling Bridge was built starting in 1853.
We have designed RoeblingFest to bring people to Covington to witness this Bridge for themselves. This year's RoeblingFest was bigger and better than all previous RoeblingFests and we hope to build from its success. With your help and participation we plan to make all subsequent RoeblingFest even more enjoyable and educational. The Bridge Committee has surplus items from RoeblingFest 2011 for sale at two Northern Kentucky businesses. You can find T-shirts, Note cards and Rookwood Tiles at the Roebling Point Bookstore in Covington and at Behringer Crawford Museum located in Devou Park. Proceeds from the sale of these items continue to fund the Covington Cincinnati Suspension Bridge Committee's work to replace all lighting fixtures on the Roebling Bridge. Donations are welcome but why not get something for your contribution.
We are striving to reach our goal of raising $430,000, we are within $90,000 of that goal. The necklace lights have been replaced and now we are planning to replace the pier "up-lighting" fixtures and establish an endowment of $100,000 to maintain the lights for the next 25 years.
